I made this site because I want to share what I make without using social media apps that exist to collect and sell our data. Consider this an exercise in digital countergeography, world-wide-web-resistance, archival work. Or maybe just my fumbling through html and css coding.

This site may exist in the ether of the internet, but I myself live in the real world. Specifically, the stolen, never-ceded lands and waters of the Jagera and Turrbal peoples — Magandjin, Meanjin. Or, so-called brisbane, “queensland”, australia (which is coloniser fiction). I have lived, worked, and grown on these lands and waters since I was born. To be here as a settler is a privilege and a duty. The fight for sovereignty and self-determination for all Indigenous peoples of this continent has never ended. Land back now! Always was, always will be!

I acknowledge also wider ongoing struggles against colonial, white-supremacist, anti-Black, capitalist, heteropatriarchal systems worldwide. Our struggles are deeply interlinked. Commit to mutual aid! Build networks of community care! Resist in the smallest and largest of ways! Love can never be defeated.
